
Yoga for Young Adults
Being a teenager these days can be very challenging, and something many adults might not be able to relate to. Stress of school, work, future planning, and peers can take a toll physically and mentally. Additionally, the diagnosis of neurodevelopment and mental health disorders such as ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, Bipolar disorder, and eating disorders are much more common these days than ever before, especially in youth. It can be very difficult to learn productive strategies to help manage these conditions, but yoga can help! I have worked with young adults age 12-18 for almost 2 years, many of whom are challenged by one of the diagnoses listed above. Teaching young adults these yogic techniques can be incredibly helpful as they transition to being independent and living their own life.
